AAR's Aircraft Services, Rockford is offering a temporary HR/Operations Assistant position with possibility of converting to a full-time role. This position will report to the HR Manager, and the schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. The HR/Operations Assistant will provide administrative support to general operations including Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Human resource duties:
Will provide administrative support to the following HR functions: recruiting, payroll, and benefit administration.
Will act as the liaison between the HR manager and employees, ensuring prompt resolution of all queries.
Will create, maintain and update employee records (HRIS and personnel files).
Will assist employees with requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
Will assist with payroll process and maintain manual payroll submittals.
Aircraft Maintenance duties :
Maintain hangar roster in shared drive, through direction from HR and the Director of Maintenance.
Aircraft Inspection duties:
Maintain qualification records in HRIS system ensuring compliance to FAA regulations, training manual and the RSQM (repair station quality manual).
Assist employees with completing required training; set up in computer training lab.
General office duties:
Will greet and assist all visitor at main entrance.
Will assist with facility badging as needed.
Will organize office supply inventory as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of 6 months experience and/or training in human resources or general business operations.
