Provides analysis, coordination and administrative support for the Continuing Assessment and Surveillance System (CASS) program. Supervises the CASS analysts in the performance of their duties and assists the manager of Engineering in conducting performance evaluations of assigned employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as the primary point of contact to develop and produce CASS reports for review and distribution as directed.
Researches, performs analysis of and reports required aircraft operational performance data and statistics.
Responsible for performing research and analysis of aircraft and systems reliability data to develop reporting methods and identify areas for fleet and product performance improvements.
In conjunction with Maintenance Control and Quality Assurance, documents and records Mechanical Interruption Summary Report (MISR) and Service Difficulty Report (SDR) information for review and inclusion in the CASS Report.
Performs analysis and reporting of internal and external completion and results. Makes recommendations to the Maintenance department leadership.
Facilitates the CASS Working Group(s) activities including tracking and status of CASS Action Items.
May act as direct liaison with the Department of State on matters concerning the CASS program, fleet reliability and quality audit programs.
Required to maintain the CASS manual as necessary.
Position requires a U.S. Department of State Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
Perform routine travel to customer sites as required.
Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Engineering
B.A./B.S. from a four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Test procedure and analysis development experience, knowledgeable on both FAA and DOD standards and procedures.
Broad technical and analytical engineering experience as applied to product qualification, ATP, manufacturing and process reporting, and technical writing as usually evidenced by completion of engineering degree.
In-depth understanding of engineering document review process, PDM / PLM processes, and QMS procedures as demonstrated by Sr. Engineer experience for a minimum of two years.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and technical presentation skills.
