SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible to the Director of Quality to ensure compliance with Regulatory, Customer, and Company; processes, policies, procedures and industry standards, by leading the quality team in the performance of audits of the Repair Station and its vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES

  • Conduct internal Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for quality escapes, damages, or other events as directed.

  • Develop detailed executive level reports based on findings derived from RCCA events.

  • Chair Monthly Customer Care Working Groups (CCWG) and Bi- Monthly Quality Meetings.

  • Ensure current quality metrics are maintained and suggest improvement where applicable.

  • Maintain the Repair Station Quality Safety Management Systems (QSMS) program.

  • Work within the AAR Electronic Company Performance System (APRISe).

  • Using APRISe or other means, track and trend non-conformances.

  • Interface directly with on-site Customer representatives for matters pertaining to the QMS.

  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and counseling to achieve optimum performance of Quality Assurance Staff.

  • Maintain the facility Corrective and Preventative

  • Action System. Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve Quality problems as required.

  • Prepares for and represents the company during all Government and ISO 9000 audits.

  • Conducts ISO internal audits on-site.

  • Prepares all necessary reports as required by customers and staff personnel.

  • Assist other departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.

  • Promote the pursuit of continuous improvement. Administer effective training and on the job training of Quality Assurance Auditors.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality and described in the RSQCM.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Knowledge of Quality Safety Management Systems (QSMS) or other Risked Based management systems.
