SUMMARY

Assemblers are responsible for building various landing gears and components in accordance with AAR and OHM requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have basic tools. Handling of non-toxic and toxic chemicals and/or substances.

Must be willing to work overtime to meet deadlines.

Check connectors, conduits in order to make sure they are in working order. Knowledge of wiring schematics on how to understand and read a manual in order to install components.

All other duties as assigned.

Assembler Levels: Level I- 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance.

Be able to build gears with little or no supervision.

Perform all tasks in assembly procedures.

Familiar with all different type of landing gears.

Train and assist new hires.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be mechanically inclined.

Have working knowledge of technical specifications in order to meet Quality Control requirements as stated in the AAR Quality Procedures Manual (QPM), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Overhaul Manual (OHM), Service Bulletins (SB), and Airworthiness Directives (AD) specifications and/or customer requirements.

Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.
