Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all common-core training activities on the contract, including the training of all contract personnel for their positions, plans and programs to train Foreign Nation personnel in relevant aviation and aviation support tasks and ensuring all contract and Foreign Nation personnel meet all customer established training requirements. Set departmental goals and objectives as a critical part of meeting or exceeding the companys mission and obligation. Supervise all Training personnel in the performance of their duties and ensure they are functioning as a cohesive team in order to accomplish the departments assigned mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, coordinate and manage all training activities in support of the global contract other than flight training.
Direct the training process and manage its effectiveness to efficiently produce the highest caliber of employee in a timely manner
Ensure personnel are appropriately trained to perform their duties on the contract before being deployed
Ensure the relevance, accuracy and compliance of all specified and contract required training.
Support and assist training at overseas site(s) to achieve all contract required objectives.
Develop and implement future training plans and programs to meet all emerging customer specified requirements to include programs and projects designed to achieve self-sustaining status for designated Foreign National organizations and their personnel following a period of U.S. training assistance.
Manage and standardize all instructors and ensure they are well prepared, qualified and the proper tools are in place for those individuals to perform their assigned work functions.
Ensure all training records are accurate and meet regulatory compliance.
Maintain and manage an integrated training schedule and ensure it is accurate and well distribute to all stakeholders.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on training regulatory matters and respond to questions from senior management, customers, and students as appropriate.
Establish training staffing levels commensurate with current and projected workload.
Seek, sell and implement training industry developments and best practices to improve the quality and effectiveness of customer required training at lower cost- Assist the Operations Manager when required in the performance of duties or decision making process.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Perform routine OCONUS travel and within CONUS travel as required.
Position requires a U.S. security clearance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
B.A./B.S. degree from four-year college or university in a related field and/or combination of education and related experience.
Graduate of formal instructor course is mandatory with military or commercial certificate.
- Aviation, training or maintenance MOS series or other military/commercial equivalent desired.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Equivalent experience defined as at least 12 years in military aviation, DOD or FMS programs, aerospace education, technical training, security assistance training or commercial aviation training as a training manager, instructional technologist, technical instructor, courseware developer, course manager, training specialist, analyst or coordinator at a resident technical school, field training center, international training program, flight training or commercial aviation training facility, or at least 15 years equivalent experience without a degree.
Strong English speaking and written communication skills.
- Recent direct experience, within the last five years, planning, developing, managing and conducting training of foreign nationals in aviation-related programs is highly desired.
